LITTLER ADDS SPECIAL COUNSEL KIMBERLY R. WARD TO BIRMINGHAM
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (August 2, 2023) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Kimberly R. Ward as special counsel to its Birmingham office. Ward joins from Ogletree Deakins and is among a recent string of new hires the firm has welcomed over the past month nationwide.

Ward’s practice is concentrated on employment litigation, including discrimination claims, Family Medical Leave Act compliance, accommodation issues, wage and hour disputes, and non-compete matters, among others. In addition to her litigation practice, Ward investigates and assists entities to effectively respond to complaints pending before the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Commission, the Department of Labor, the Department of Education, the Office of Civil Rights, and the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development. She is skilled at providing clients with strategic advice to avoid litigation regarding issues such as employee leave, employee discipline and termination, and requests for accommodation. Additionally, Ward regularly drafts and reviews employee handbooks for compliance with state and federal laws, and she partners with employers to provide EEO training to managers and staff in an effort to proactively avoid litigation.
Ward earned her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and her B.A. from Auburn University.
