Trial Lawyer David Moreno Joins Brown Rudnick’s Growing Litigation & Arbitration Group
Brown Rudnick LLP announced the addition of David A. Moreno, Jr. as a partner in the Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group. He is based in the firm’s New York office. Moreno’s arrival adds even more depth to Brown Rudnick’s team of top trial lawyers, which includes market-leading litigators advising on white collar defense, commercial litigation, restructuring, intellectual property and litigation funding, among other matters.
Moreno joins from Spar & Bernstein PC, where he was a partner and established the Corporate Business, Sports & Entertainment Department. Furthermore, Moreno managed Spar & Bernstein’s Criminal Defense Department and served as the firm’s lead trial lawyer, handling trial-ready cases in criminal and civil courts. Moreno regularly managed a caseload of more than 100 active matters in state and federal courts.
Moreno’s practice covers a wide range of areas, including commercial litigation, white-collar defense, intellectual property protection, tax, investment disputes, and sports and entertainment, winning settlement amounts and jury awards among the top in the field. Moreno has extensive experience advising on an array of domestic and international white-collar matters, including healthcare fraud, securities fraud, and other financial crimes. Moreno previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, where he prosecuted more than 1200 criminal cases and tried 13 cases to verdict, reporting a perfect trial record.
With more than 100 litigators in the United States and Europe, Brown Rudnick routinely and successfully counsels clients on high-stakes domestic and international litigations. Moreno’s addition speaks to Brown Rudnick’s growing litigation practice. In the past year, the group also added Michael J. Bowe and Lauren Tabaksblat, formerly with Kasowitz Benson Torres, and Jason Wareham, formerly a U.S. Marine Corp Judge Advocate and one of the longest-serving litigators in the Marine Corps.
Moreno’s commitment to his profession and clients extends to his work in the community. Dedicated to serving underrepresented populations, he serves as a mentor, motivational speaker, and teacher in the New York City Public Schools, for the Judicial Internship Opportunity Program and Harlem Hoops Afterschool Program. Moreno has served on the board of the Many Hopes Charity since 2016.
