Parker Poe Announces New Partners for 2021

Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce the election of four new partners for 2021. Elizabeth Story in Atlanta, Daniel Peterson in Charlotte, and Michael Crook and Collier Marsh in Raleigh were voted into the firm’s partnership.

Story represents clients in real estate litigation. She focuses on eminent domain proceedings, private property disputes, and other types of litigation related to owning and developing commercial real estate. Her clients include shopping center developers and owners of commercial and mixed-use property. She is president of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) Foundation and has served on its board of directors since 2016.

Peterson focuses on local government counsel, professional negligence, and insurance disputes. He has experience analyzing potential constitutional issues and resolving disputes for cities and towns. He also has defended professionals and businesses in the insurance and real estate industries. He serves as chair of the Government Practice Group within the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.

Crook focuses his practice on real estate litigation and eminent domain. He regularly represents governmental, business, and professional clients in all phases of state and federal litigation. Michael volunteers his time by representing abused and neglected juveniles before North Carolina’s appellate courts through the Guardian ad Litem program and by representing low-income individuals through Legal Aid of North Carolina.

Marsh focuses his practice on land use, state and local property tax, construction, and commercial litigation. His clients include real estate developers, commercial property owners, property managers, homebuilders, and homeowners associations. He represents his clients through all stages of construction and development. He is a graduate of Leadership Raleigh and an advocate for abused and neglected juveniles through the Guardian ad Litem program.
