Josh Escovedo Joins James Dyer as Sacramento Co-Lead
Buchalter proudly announces that Josh Escovedo has been appointed Co-Managing Shareholder of its Sacramento office. He will join James “Jim” Dyer in this key leadership role. Since its founding in 2017, Dyer has played a pivotal role in transforming the Sacramento office into one of the city’s largest and most dynamic law firms.
As a member of Buchalter’s Board of Directors, Dyer has guided the Sacramento office through three major expansions. These expansions include the recent 2024 integration of the Trainor Fairbrook team. Today, the office boasts over 45 attorneys and offers comprehensive legal services across multiple industries. Beyond leading the Sacramento office, Dyer will also support firm-wide strategic growth initiatives as Buchalter continues to expand.

Josh Escovedo is an experienced litigator specializing in intellectual property, real estate, business, and sports law. He has rapidly emerged as a firm leader and a driving force behind the Sacramento office’s growth. Escovedo handles complex commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and fraud. He also has deep expertise in trademark and copyright litigation and transactions. Additionally, he advises commercial property owners and developers on leases, purchases, and development-related disputes.
