Agiloft Appoints Microsoft Veteran Jason Barnwell as CLO
REDWOOD CITY, Calif – Agiloft has appointed Jason Barnwell, a longtime Microsoft legal executive, as its new Chief Legal Officer, effective Dec. 1.
Barnwell brings over 15 years of legal and business leadership experience from Microsoft. There, he most recently served as General Manager and Associate General Counsel for Monetization and Business Planning. At Agiloft, he will oversee internal legal operations and contribute to the company’s AI-driven contract lifecycle management (CLM) product strategy.
Barnwell is recognized for advancing legal digital transformation, notably by guiding Microsoft’s global contracting engine and streamlining data-driven legal processes supporting the company’s procurement operations. His work emphasized integrating machine intelligence into legal workflows to enhance efficiency and business value.
In addition to his corporate experience, Barnwell advises several legal technology initiatives. He serves on nonprofit boards, including the Pacific Science Center. He holds a law degree from USC Gould School of Law and a mechanical engineering degree from MIT.
