Weinstein Family Law Welcomes Erika Handler and Katherine Segall to the Firm

Weinstein Family Law, a boutique matrimonial law firm, announced that Erika Handler and Katherine (Katie) Segall have joined the firm as associates and will focus their practices exclusively on family law matters.

About Erika Handler, Esq.

Erika HandlerPrior to entering into private practice, Handler served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas L. Weisenbeck, J.S.C., Morris County Family Part (now retired).

Handler earned her J.D. from the Rutgers University School of Law, where she served as the Chairperson of the Women’s Law Forum and Managing Research Editor of the Computer and Technology Law Journal, and her B.A. from the University of Michigan where she graduated with high honors. During law school, Handler served as a law clerk for the Attorney General’s Office, Division of Youth and Family Services, Newark and volunteered with the law school’s Special Education Clinic working to secure school accommodations for children with special needs.

Handler is admitted to the New Jersey Bar and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and Somerset County Bar Association. She is an active participant in her community serving as the Co-Chair of Membership for her temple and member of the Mayor of Scotch Plain’s Wellness Committee.

About Katherine Segall, Esq.

Katherine SegallBefore joining the firm, Segall served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Mark T. Janezcko, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Family Part, where she conducted extensive legal research for the Court’s divorce and domestic violence cases. She also interned for the following Superior Court of New Jersey judges: the Honorable Jodi Lee Alper, the Honorable Linda Cavanaugh, the Honorable Vito Sciancalepore, and the Honorable Joseph V. Isabella.

Segall earned her J.D. from Pace Law School and her B.A. from The College of New Jersey. Prior to graduation, she worked for Legal Services of the Hudson Valley as a staff attorney practicing under the student practice Order.

Segall is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and North Carolina. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association and the Morris County Bar Association.
