Sidley welcomes George Hunter as a new partner in its Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) practice, based in the New York office. Mr. Hunter is transitioning from his previous position at Jones Day.
In his role, Mr. Hunter offers expert advice to companies and their boards on M&A, corporate governance, shareholder activism, and securities law. He possesses particular skills in public company transactions. He has actively led various high-profile deals that employ diverse deal structures. His industry expertise spans aerospace, defense, digital and energy infrastructure, mining, consumer goods, and retail.
