Perkins Coie Adds Partner Alec Farr to Litigation Practice in Washington, D.C.

Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Alec Farr has joined the firm’s Litigation practice as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office. A veteran litigator, Alec focuses his practice on complex commercial and intellectual property matters.

Alec has significant experience advising clients on business and banking issues, including litigation related to breach of contract, fraud, consumer class actions, RICO, corporate disparagement, lender liability, negligence, and unfair competition. He also regularly advises financial institutions on litigation involving inadequate loan origination disclosures, improper account management procedures and violations of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and state consumer protection statutes. His intellectual property practice focuses on non-compete, trade secret, copyright and trademark infringement matters.

Alec regularly counsels clients involved in a variety of industries, including financial services, major nonprofits, telecommunications, sustainable energy, pharmaceuticals, entertainment and healthcare.

Alec joins Perkins Coie from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, where he was a partner. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.A. from Georgetown University.
