His practice covers fund finance, asset-based and cash-flow loans, specialty finance, and sophisticated credit structures.
“Jon’s track record of success in private credit and private wealth will immediately enhance our corporate finance offerings,” said Jeff Cody, US Managing Partner and Global Co-Managing Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright. “His entrepreneurial spirit aligns perfectly with our Dallas office culture, and his strong connections in Chicago will be invaluable as the office continues to grow its client base.”
Jon is known for his legal expertise and commercial insight, making him a top choice for senior and subordinated lenders. His experience spans mezzanine and unitranche transactions, refinancings, debt restructurings, workouts, and both secured and unsecured credit facilities. He has led bilateral and syndicated deals, with a focus on leveraged acquisitions and complex inter-creditor and lender agreements.
Stephen Castro, US Head of Finance, highlighted the strategic value of Jon’s addition: “Jon has built a highly respected lender-focused practice, guiding some of the world’s leading financial institutions through intricate credit transactions. His arrival is a significant boost to our team and reflects our ongoing commitment to scaling our finance capabilities.”
Jon joins Norton Rose Fulbright from Holland & Knight, attracted by the firm’s excellence in private banking and family office advisory. “I’m excited to join a firm that not only aligns with my practice focus but also provides an ideal platform for growth,” he said. “The firm’s strong relationships with major financial institutions in the US, Canada, and Europe offer tremendous potential for expanding my practice.”
Licensed in both Texas and Illinois, Jon’s appointment strengthens the firm’s presence in two of its key US markets.
