Legal Ethics Consulting Attorney Allison L. Wood Joins International Association of Defense Counsel

The International Association of Defense Counsel(IADC) has announced that Allison L. Wood, Principal of Legal Ethics Consulting, P.C., in Chicago, has accepted an invitation to join the IADC, the preeminent invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests.

“I am honored to be invited as a new member of the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel to work alongside other corporate defense lawyers and insurance executives who rely on the organization to provide valuable, high-level education and professional development opportunities,” Ms. Wood said.

Ms. Wood works with legal malpractice insurance carriers in representing Illinois attorneys in all phases of the disciplinary process. She also counsels and represents applicants seeking admission to the bar and provides ethics evaluations and testimony in legal malpractice cases.

Ms. Wood is a member of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Professional Responsibility and a board member of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. Previously, she was a member of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Lawyers’ Professional Liability. She is also a certified MCLE Provider of ethics programming.

Ms. Wood received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
