Foley Welcomes Steven Petrie as Chief Operating Officer

Foley & Lardner LLP is pleased to announce that Steven Petrie has joined the firm as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Petrie will be responsible for the global leadership and strategic oversight of the firm’s business operations. His primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing the business operations strategy for the firm in alignment with Foley’s firmwide strategic plan. He will be based in Foley’s New York office.

Petrie brings nearly 20 years of strategy, finance, and broad operations experience in large law firm environments. He most recently served as Americas Chief Operating Officer at a Top 10 global law firm. Previous to that role, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at an AmLaw 100 firm.

Petrie earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, and a BA from Yale University.
