Evan Knott Joins Honigman LLP as Litigation Partner
Honigman LLP is excited to announce that Evan Knott has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Litigation Department. Knott, who spent nearly two decades at Reed Smith, is the second partner to bring his insurance and reinsurance recovery practice to Honigman following Noel Paul’s recent move. He will be joined by Associate Lauren Gubricky, also from Reed Smith.
Knott specializes in complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation. He represents corporate policyholders and insurers nationwide. He has extensive experience handling coverage disputes in several areas, including mass torts, environmental liability, product liability, director and officer liability, professional liability, and consumer class actions. His expertise also covers employer liability, commercial property, and business interruption claims. Knott has successfully recovered hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance assets for his clients.

Throughout his career, Knott has represented diverse clients, including Fortune 50 corporations, mid-market businesses, and industries such as animal agriculture, retail, commercial real estate, heavy truck manufacturing, plumbing, pharmaceuticals, private equity, and more.
Knott holds a J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. Gubricky, a former associate at Reed Smith, brings over four years of experience. She specializes in representing corporate policyholders in high-stakes coverage and bad-faith litigation. She earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and her B.A. from Lake Forest College.
