Einhorn Barbarito Frost & Botwinick Partners Thomas J. Snyder and Matheu D. Nunn Named as Co-Chairs of Firm’s Family/Matrimonial Practice

(DENVILLE, N.J. – January 8, 2021) – Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, PC, is pleased to announce that partners Thomas J. Snyder and Matheu D. Nunn have been elevated to lead the firm’s Family/Matrimonial practice group. Snyder has devoted his practice exclusively to a wide-range of family law matters for the past 25 years. Nunn, who primarily handles family law litigation, also co-chairs the firm’s General Appellate practice with Bonnie C. Frost, Esq. The pair will lead a department that handles all family law issues including alimony, child support, custody, parenting time, grandparents’ visitation, equitable distribution, and domestic violence cases. The partners’ co-chair titles are effective as of January 1, 2021.

About Thomas J. Snyder

Snyder earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1992 and his B.S., cum laude, from Albany State University in 1987. He has served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He has been recognized for his contributions to the enactment of legislation in the areas of irreconcilable differences, open adoption, and alimony reform. Tom has litigated landmark cases including cases presented to the New Jersey Supreme Court which have impacted international child custody litigation and litigation involving fathers’ rights to challenge false claims of paternity. He has contributed to New Jersey State Bar Association’s amicus curiae briefs in litigation involving same sex couples’ rights to a legally recognized marriage and litigation involving whether income from a discretionary trust can be used for the purposes of calculating alimony and child support. He has been recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal in 2019 with a Professional Excellence Award in Mentorship, and among many other honors, has regularly been listed by Best Lawyers in America for Family Law.

About Matheu D. Nunn

A former county and municipal prosecutor, Nunn is an experienced litigator who has tried jury and bench trials and has been counsel of record in more than 50 Appellate Division and Supreme Court matters, including precedent-setting family law decisions in Bisbing v. Bisbing, 230 N.J. 309 (2017), a child relocation case; and Quinn v. Quinn, 225 N.J. 34 (2016), a cohabitation case. Nunn’s noteworthy victories have earned him numerous awards and recognitions including consecutive selections as a New Jersey Law Journal “Attorney of the Year” finalist, recognition as a “Trailblazer” in family law by the National Law Journal, recognition in Best Lawyers in America for Family Law, and inclusion in the 2020 “40 Under 40” ranking by NJBIZ. Nunn earned his J.D., with academic honors, from Rutgers School of Law in 2007 and his B.A. from the University of Delaware in 2003. Prior to joining Einhorn Barbarito, Nunn clerked for the Hon. B. Theodore Bozonelis, A.J.S.C. (ret.) and then for the Hon. Jack M. Sabatino, P.J.A.D.
