Frost Brown Todd Adds Insurance Litigator Erica Mecler Caron in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Frost Brown Todd has added Erica Mecler Caron as a partner in its Product, Tort & Insurance Litigation practice group in Columbus.
Caron joins the firm from Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, where she served as Senior Litigation Counsel. At Liberty Mutual, she managed insurance coverage and excess exposure cases across commercial and professional liability lines, handling litigation in multiple jurisdictions, including California, Washington, Missouri, and New York.
Yazan Ashrawi, office partner-in-charge in Columbus, said Caron’s in-house and private practice background provides a perspective valued by clients managing legal risk. Caron said her experience working within a corporate legal department gives her insight into aligning legal strategy with broader business goals.
She earned her law degree from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College. Caron has also volunteered as a legal mentor with Discovering Justice’s Mock Trial Program.
