Ed De Castro Joins Lathrop GPM as Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting in Chicago

I wanted to share with you that Ed De Castro has joined Lathrop GPM this week as Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting in Chicago.

In his new role (and a newly created role at the firm), Ed will work closely with the Executive Committee, PGLs, and others to implement creative strategies for sourcing and recruiting partner level candidates, oversee recruiting efforts to increase the pipeline of prospective partner candidates, and direct the day-to-day process for active partner recruiting.

Ed joins Lathrop GPM from Quarles & Brady LLP in Chicago, where he led its lateral recruitment efforts for the past two years. In this role, Ed worked with the firm’s practice groups to understand their needs, employed a variety of sources and tactics to identify potential partners and associates, worked with firm leadership throughout the recruitment process, and managed the onboarding of the new hires. Before Quarles & Brady, Ed was a Senior Internal Recruiter for 12 years at Major, Lindsey & Africa in Chicago, a leading global attorney search firm that helps major corporations and law firms acquire top legal talent. He earned his J.D. in 2005 from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
